Enterprise Email Storage For The SMB

April 19th, 2006: EMC has upped the ante again with its push into the SMB sector by releasing new email management and protection software for its CLARiiON storage solutions.

Imaginatively called the Insignia Solution for Exchange and Insignia Solution Data Protection, the new software puts EMC’s new CLARiiON AX150 and AX150i networked storage systems to work managing Microsoft Exchange storage.

EMC says the new Insignia software has the ability to automate Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 migration as well as the ability to restore individual emails, mailboxes or an entire server without extensive expertise or complex manual intervention.

“Small and medium businesses find that email is just as important to them as it is to the largest enterprises,” says Larry Zulch, Vice President and General Manager, EMC Insignia. “Using the EMC Insignia Solution for Exchange brings E-mail dependability and manageability to a new level.”

Both solutions are available now with pricing starting at US$12,495 for the Insignia Solution for Exchange, and US$11,995 for the Insignia Solution for Data Protection.
