DocuSign heads downunder

DocuSign has landed its first APAC General Manager in Australia as it begins a regional push for its cloud-based eSignature platform, also announcing plans for a local data centre by 2014.

Former  Adobe EchoSign VP Eitan Saban will open a new office in Darling Park, Sydney to support existing local customers including Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

The DocuSign platform provides a way to electronically sign legally binding contracts such as mortgages, contracts, employment agreements etc.

“DocuSign has become the eSignature global standard to accelerate business results for companies of every size, industry, and geography,” said Saban.

“After seeing eleven of the top fifteen insurance companies, ten of the top fifteen wealth management companies, and high tech companies like salesforce.com, Microsoft, HP, NetSuite, and LinkedIn all standardise on DocuSign in hundreds of departments and use cases, I had to join the industry leader. Even more exciting is bringing the secure, powerful, and reliable DocuSign platform to APAC customers and partners.”

"Its a very viral product. You can start in one department such as sales or HR and the ROI is immediate so that its starts being used in other areas . This is happening at the Commonwealth Bank where HR is using DocuSign to sign up all new employees.
