Records m'ment workshop

Records m'ment workshop

Many organisations are only now just getting to grips with the AS4390 which was introduced last February, according to Judith Ellis, managing director of Archival Systems.

Issued by Standards Australia last February, the AS4390 records management standard is a voluntary code of practice for organisations establishing or improving their record keeping systems and processes.

Ms Ellis is one of the leaders in a workshop organised by Performance Improvement Conferences and Seminars (PICS). The How to apply AS4390 Records Management Standard is an intensive, one-day workshop providing a practical approach to understanding and implementing the standard in various industry sectors.

Over the course of the day, attendees will be taken through the six parts of the standard, with various organisations case studied, and a full summary at the days close to ensure participants gain a thorough understanding of the standard.

Workshop leaders Ms Ellis and Kerry Gordon have had extensive experience in records management and archiving.
