Document Capture That Finishes the SAP Transaction

Invoices, purchase orders and inspection results can be checked against live SAP data and posted as validated transactions by Artificio's expanded automation platform.

California-based Artificio Products has extended its AI platform for midsize and large SAP ECC and S/4HANA customers. That includes those using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

The platform combines intelligent document processing, SAP data validation, workflow orchestration, human approvals, exception handling and transaction posting.

It connects to SAP through supported interfaces including APIs, OData services, IDocs, BAPIs and RFC-enabled services. BTP-based integration patterns are also supported.

Artificio says the platform is designed to automate complete processes, not stop at extracting data from a document.

Supported processes include accounts payable invoice automation, with invoices validated against purchase orders and goods receipts before posting.

Customer purchase orders received by email, PDF or structured channels can be converted into validated SAP sales orders.

Inspection and test results can be recorded in SAP Quality Management. Maintenance and calibration documentation can be linked to SAP Plant Maintenance processes and records.

Production confirmations and labour time can be captured at the point of work, and logistics documents such as bills of lading connected to SAP transactions.

Artificio says the platform maintains an auditable connection between source documents, workflow decisions, validations, approvals and the resulting SAP transactions.

"Midsize and large SAP organizations do not need another isolated document-capture tool," said Lal Singh, Founder and CEO of Artificio Products.

The platform supports phased modernisation for enterprises running ECC and S/4HANA in parallel. Deployment options cover on-premises, private cloud, public cloud and hybrid environments.

Artificio works with SAP consulting firms, systems integrators and implementation partners.
