Whitevision Acquires UK's Documation

Intelligent document processing (IDP) vendor Whitevision has acquired Documation, a UK developer of purchase-to-pay and accounts payable automation software, extending its buy-and-build consolidation of the document automation market.

The deal, announced on 14 July 2026, is Whitevision's fifth acquisition since partnering with investor Main Capital Partners in August 2024, and its second in the UK after Document Logistix earlier this year.

Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Southampton, Documation specialises in automating financial document processing. Its suite covers the full downstream purchase-to-pay cycle, from purchase order creation and goods receipt to invoice matching, accounts payable processing and financial reporting. Customers span education, healthcare, manufacturing, corporates and municipalities.

"The combination further strengthens our Intelligent Document Processing capabilities and marks an expansion of our activities in the UK," said Whitevision CEO and founder Frank de Wit.

He said the deal accelerates the company's ambition to become a leading international player in IDP, document management and workflow.

Documation CEO and founder John Wallace said the partnership enables an end-to-end document automation platform with "best-in-class Intelligent Document Processing functionalities" across a broader portfolio and multiple regions.
