Dataline attacks P2P with new SaaS solution

Sydney technology group Dataline is looking to broaden mid-market adoption of SaaS-based Purchase to Pay (P2P) solutions in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region – in partnership with US-based technology company Verian Technologies.

Dataline already provides SaaS-based accounts payable services from its bureau operations in Sydney which are used by mid-market organisations such as Talent2, Revlon, SG Fleet, Gilbarco and Stryker International. Dataline also offers electronic invoicing solutions through a partnership with Fundtech and provides mission critical payment solutions to some of Australia’s major banks

“Dataline Group is excited to be the first to introduce Verian’s P2P capabilities to customers in this part of the world”, says Ken Swanson, Managing Director for Dataline Group.

“We are very impressed with the ease of use and capabilities of the Verian P2P software platform, as well as the company, and we believe organisations in the Pacific Rim will find great value in the Software as a Service (SaaS) based solutions Verian has to offer. Verian’s P2P solutions will complement our existing managed services offerings – including data capture for many different document types and formats – including invoices.”

The Verian modular P2P solution is a Java-based platform that includes web-based procurement and a rules-based workflow for managing PO and non-PO invoices and also supports inventory, asset and expense management. It will be offered predominantly as a cloud-based service – which includes both public cloud and private hosted deployment options in the APAC region.

The Verian P2P platform has been successfully integrated with more than 40 different ERP applications, and the company claims a FAST deployment can be up and running in 30 days.

The solution is targeted at mid-sized organisations processing less than 250,000 invoices per year, a market that Dataline believes has not been well-serviced historically and who have indicated a genuine interest in SaaS-based solutions to help them improve their business performance.

“Dataline Group is an ideal partner because they know the P2P industry well and particularly the mid-market in the Pacific Rim, and they have decades of experience helping their customers to improve business performance – particularly in financial transaction processing activities such as accounts payable and receivable”, says Tommy Benston, Client Executive at Verian.
