Automation Anywhere Targets the Front Office

Customer requests made by voice or chat could soon flow straight through to back-office execution on a single agentic automation platform.  Automation Anywhere has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Boost.ai, an enterprise conversational and voice AI company, from Nordic Capital.

It is Automation Anywhere's second AI acquisition in a year. It bought Aisera in late 2025, adding enterprise knowledge and automated employee service.

Boost.ai serves hundreds of customer organisations, with particular strength in Europe. Its base is concentrated in regulated industries such as financial services, telecommunications and insurance.

The platform supports more than 36 languages and combines natural language understanding with generative and agentic AI. Boost.ai says it reaches a resolution rate above 90 per cent in production deployments.

Its security and privacy measures are aligned with GDPR and HIPAA requirements and supported by an independent SOC 2 report, according to Automation Anywhere.

"Boost.ai's deep expertise in regulated industries has proven that conversational and voice AI can operate at enterprise scale with the reliability, compliance, and governance that regulated industries require," said Jerry Haywood, CEO of Boost.ai.

The Conversation-to-Outcome Loop

Automation Anywhere describes the combination as completing a "Conversation-to-Outcome Loop". A customer or employee states what they need, AI interprets the intent, and agents, people and systems are coordinated to complete the work.

People are brought in when a decision calls for judgement or an exception, the company says.

It groups the combined offering into three areas: autonomous customer operations, autonomous employee operations and autonomous business operations across ERP, CRM and other enterprise applications.

"The real transformation from AI will come when enterprises stop measuring agents and start redesigning how work gets done around outcomes," said Ankur Kothari, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Automation Anywhere.

Automation Anywhere says AI bookings made up nearly 70 per cent of new and upsell bookings over the past six quarters. Agentic AI executions grew fivefold over the past year.

It reports nearly half a billion AI agent and automation executions a year, with more than 4000 customers in 90-plus countries.
