BA Insight has launched a bundle of  search-based business applications developed specifically for the Microsoft SharePoint environment. Called TotalView applications, they are designed to help organisations solve information integration challenges within a particular function or line of business.

The first solutions in the TotalView line are TotalView for Sales, TotalView for Customer Service and TotalView for Law Firms.

TotalView for Customer Service provides users with one interface through which to access financial and invoicing applications, messaging systems, products and knowledge base systems and more.

"But often the tools made available to them were created for power users, or IT staff with knowledge of more complex search techniques. TotalView addresses that gap, with business-focused apps that layer on top of SharePoint, not only making it easier to find relevant information, but also masking the complexity of the search technology itself."
