Top Image Systems (TIS) has unveiled the latest release of ts document capture and enterprise workflow software,  eFLOW5.  

 

CVISION Technologies has released Trapeze eFiler, a software solution designed to automatically classify and route PDF files and image documents into network folders, SharePoint and other document repositories. 

The KODAK i5800 Scanner is now available with an optional accessory that automatically separates documents based on size, class, or type to boost processing speeds, decrease handling time, and achieve cost savings. 

Kodak's Document Imaging has launched a dedicated portable document scanner for Mac users, the SCANMATE i940.

It is important to note that some forms pose greater challenges over others, particularly those that are unstructured in nature.  Not all forms are good candidates for OCR and ICR, but often these forms can be changed or redesigned slightly so that information from them can be more easily recognized.

Even with iPhones, iPads, and other digital devices, forms, applications, cheques and documents are still widely used to collect data. While obtaining and leveraging this information from forms is a critical business differentiator, getting the data from documents continues to be a challenge, for many organisations, even in our digital age.
