SalesLogix has partnered with Brisbane-based IT management firm Peachtree Consulting Group, in a combined move to help speed return on investment for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) customers.

Peachtree, which specialises in ERP and change management, will use SalesLogix's Sales Force Automation (SFA) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) functionality to help with its clients' change management programs. The consultancy's primary focus is SAP sites.

According to Peachtree general manager Lee Traill, the alliance appealed because although the consultancy analyses organisational aspects before recommending process management technology, it had difficulty finding appropriate sales automation and customer relations solutions.

Rather than being a conventional reseller, Peachtree will incorporate SalesLogix into its consulting package. It will focus on helping its customers derive maximum value from the ERP systems they have installed, so that they can turn their attention to the customer as a sales channel.

Peachtree will use SalesLogix SFA and CRM solutions to give clients the ability to manage customer relationships from first contact to post sales, armed with data accumulated through their ERP system.

Although Peachtree caters to all sectors, Mr Traill said that a wider range of industries, including financial, telecommunications and government, were discovering they could benefit from CRM and SFA technology.

According to Mr Traill, SalesLogix SFA appealed because the company can customise software to match sales and CRM processes. "This allows companies to use current working processes with re-engineered processes," he said.
