Describe the Process and FlowForma Builds It

Teams still rebuilding InfoPath and SharePoint 2013 workflows can now describe how an old process worked to an AI assistant and have it rebuilt. FlowForma has connected its process automation platform to Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI's ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.

FlowForma Process Automation is a no-code platform for building, running and governing workflows natively on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online. The new integrations let users map, deploy and optimise those processes from the assistant they already use.

Microsoft's retirement of InfoPath and SharePoint 2013 workflows has left many organisations with processes to rebuild. FlowForma says users can now describe those processes in plain language instead of starting from a blank canvas.

Each integration carries FlowForma's process knowledge. The assistant understands how steps, forms, rules and branches fit together. It asks the questions a business analyst would, writes the process specification and builds a working flow.

Users can describe a new process, such as a purchase requisition, employee onboarding or an incident report. The assistant maps it out, fills gaps and sends it to FlowForma ready to run.

Existing processes can be brought into the conversation for review. The assistant suggests improvements, and changes such as a new approval route or form field go straight to FlowForma.

Execution stays inside FlowForma. Processes, permissions and approvals run in the platform, and processes and their data remain in the organisation's own Microsoft 365 tenancy.

FlowForma is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified and a Microsoft AI Cloud Partner. Its visual flow designer remains available alongside the assistant integrations.

"Your AI assistant is now your process designer, and FlowForma is the engine that runs it," said John Murphy, CEO of FlowForma.

"Most people now start their day in an AI assistant. So, we've made it possible to simply describe how work should flow, and FlowForma Process Automation turns it into a secure, governed process that's ready to run," he said.

FlowForma was founded in Dublin in 2012 and says it has more than 300,000 users. Its other products cover contract and tender management, vendor security assessment, and governing and monitoring AI agents through FlowForma Agent Trust.

The integrations are available now in Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. Existing customers can enable them through their account manager, and new users can start a 30-day free trial.
