Canberra based media digitisation and archiving business DAMsmart has announced the commencement of a project to digitise and preserve the videotape holdings of the National Library of Australia (NLA).

 

NSW digital records on hold

A report issued by the NSW Auditor-General, Peter Achterstraat, has found that a lack of critical infrastructure means the State Records Authority is declining NSW Government agencies’ requests to archive digital information, despite a ministerial memorandum acknowledging the increasing use of digital information.

 

NZ Parliament seeks CMS

The New Zealand Parliament has called a tender for intranet and internet website content management software, although the solution will have to integrate with a .Net platform for document management.
