Glentworth consultants appoints CEO

Information management firm Glentworth has appointed Neil Makepeace as Chief Executive Officer. Director and senior partner of the firm, Makepeace’s appointment comes during a restructure of the growing Glentworth Board of Directors, with founder Neil Glentworth appointed as executive chairman.

Glentworth said Makepeace’s appointment aligned with the firm’s long term national growth strategy.

 “Neil has a proven track record in many facets of the information management industry, and is already a recognised leader in the growing field of open data,” said Glentworth.

“Neil’s appointment underpins Glentworth’s growth strategy, as we continue to expand our reach across Australia and into a range of industries, from health to education, multiple government agencies and telecommunications, to name just a few.

“Information is no longer seen as just another part of a business – it is the business, and more organisations are reaping the benefits of treating information as their most valuable asset.

Glentworth CEO Neil Makepeace said Glentworth was in a strong position for growth.

“We have excellent fundamentals here at Glentworth – including a great team, a bold agenda and a passion for what we do – not to mention valued clients,” Mr Makepeace said.

“We’ve built a strong business but the work doesn’t stop there.  My appointment to the role of CEO marks our intent to go further, push harder and achieve even more.” 

Neil Makepeace has worked extensively as an executive leader in ICT development, strategic planning and design, information management and multi-agency information sharing.  He is the founding chair of the Open Data Institute Queensland, a non-profit organisation dedicated to creating value in government, business and society through open data.

Neil has an MSc in the Design of Information Systems and another in Advanced Strategy and Planning. He is accredited as a Chartered Information Professional and a member of the Institute of Company Directors.

Neil was a member of the Queensland Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Technology Council throughout its existence.
