Planned migration

Adding to its recent announcement of the NetBackup application, Veritas has announced a new consulting service to help users migrate their data back up to the application.

Veritas is targeting users of Legato's Networker application and in an announcement Veritas said that the service from its consulting division will help "existing Legato Networker users easily migrate."

The service assesses a business according to its needs, existing infrastructure and service level requirement. After the assessment, Veritas claims it delivers a migration plan according to best practices for removing legacy systems and in the process and then the implementation.
