Alfresco and Kofax in process push

Kofax and open source vendor Alfresco have announced an alliance to jointly offer their ECM and process automation solutions.

The two companies claim their alliance delivers a complete information management platform that will drive down the total cost of ownership.

“Kofax and Alfresco have numerous mutual customers eager to increase the ROI from their existing infrastructures by leveraging the ability to capture data and documents from any source, transform it into actionable information and share it across the organisation in an organised, protected and cost-effective manner,” said John Powell, Chief Executive Officer at Alfresco.

“By using an integrated Kofax-Alfresco platform, customers can benefit from the improved productivity and efficiency provided by capture enabled BPM, coupled with the simplicity of open source ECM,” said Jim Vickers, Senior Vice President, OEM and Partner Strategy at Kofax.

Alfresco now has over 2300 enterprise customers globally, and claims over 6.6 million people use Alfresco Enterprise, Cloud, Mobile and Community to manage over 3.3 billion documents.
